APHC delegation arrested in Ramban

Srinagar, July 25 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian police arrested senior All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Political Front along with other Hurriyet leaders in Ramban.

Musaddiq Aadil, leading an APHC delegation, visited Ramban to express solidarity with the families of those recently killed by Indian police during a protest demonstration against the desecration of holy Quran by Indian Border Security Force personnel.

The other members of the delegation were Hakeem Abdur Rasheed, Farooq Mamoos and Abdul Majeed.

Musaddiq Aadil after the arrest told media that the people of Kashmir could not be suppressed through use of brute force. He said that Kashmiris had been struggling for securing their right to self-determination, guaranteed to them by the United Nations and the international community. He vowed to take the liberation movement to its logical conclusion, despite all odds.
