Anti Doping seminar held

Islamabad, March 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): An Anti Doping Seminar was organized in a Local Hotel of Islamabad today. Federal Secretary Ministry of IPC Mr. Muhamamd Ijaz Chaudry was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony.

Dr. M. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, Ch. Salamat Ali DDG (Admn), Mr. Muhammad Shahid DDG (Tech) and Syed Habib Shah DDG (Acad) were also present at the occasion. The event started with recitation of the Holy Quran.

Doctor Waqar Ahmad, Chairman Pakistan Anti Doping Agency welcomed the Chief Guest and explained the objectives of the Seminar. He informed that people from different sports organizations have been invited to expand the awareness of “NO to Drugs” for sportspersons.

The Secretary, IPC lauded the efforts of Director General Pakistan Sports Board and Pakistan Anti Doping Agency. He expressed that giving awareness of “Anti Doping” to the players is a holy mission. He emphasized that Anti Doping Message should go to every sportsmen in every nook and corner of the country.

The efforts to promote sports should be done jointly as sports fields are the best way of expressing Youth’s emotions. Sports are the best tools to save them from participating in negative activities. In the end, Certificates were awarded among the participants.
