Ambassador of Japan calls on Defence Minister
Rawalpindi: Our sacrifices in the war against terror are numerous, and our sacrifices in the war are beyond any doubt. Ch. Ahmad Mukhtar said this in a meeting with Ambassador of Japan, H.E Heroshioe, who called on the Minister in his office today. The Federal Minister expressed sorrow over the recent sad episode of tsunami in Japan.
The Minister informed the Ambassador that his country possesses a great human resource potential in the form of youth, but the need is to create employment opportunities and provide them with suitable jobs. We have an agro-economy, and large tracts of fertile agriculture lands, which produces high quality crops, fruits, vegetables including export quality mushrooms, kinnos and rice, the Minister stated further. But we lack in advanced-technology machineries and equipments to explore, utilize and process these products, he stated further. The Minister expressed a hope that the Japanese government would help them in processing their agro potential by investing in these sectors. It would help the country to boost on economic front.
The Ambassador was pleased to observe that his government will certainly look into these sectors to invest in Pakistan.
