Islamabad, In a significant move to bolster the educational infrastructure in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has instructed Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ali, Vice Chancellor of Kotli University, to expedite the development projects and enhance the education system of Jamia Kotli. The directives were issued during a detailed meeting at the President's House, Kashmir House, Islamabad.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the President received a comprehensive briefing from Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ali on the ongoing development projects at the University of Kotli. Emphasizing the need for swift completion of these projects, President Chaudhry has also approved the formation of an emergency committee for the Senate of the University of Kotli. Chaudhry Mehboob Advocate, former member of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council, will chair the committee, with former secretary Colleges of the Azad Government of Jammu State, Chaudhry Manzoor, serving as a member.
Furthermore, during the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ali extended an invitation to President Chaudhry to inaugurate the completed projects at Kotli University, an invitation the President graciously accepted. President Chaudhry is scheduled to visit Kotli soon to inaugurate the newly constructed facilities at the university.
The meeting underscored the administration's commitment to improving educational standards and infrastructure in the region. Following his visit to Islamabad, President Chaudhry proceeded to Muzaffarabad, where he was received at the President's House. He is expected to engage further in discussions aimed at advancing the education sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including a briefing under the auspices of the Kashmir Liberation Cell and a meeting with the delegation of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Bar Association.
