5.3 earthquake hit several parts of upper country

An earthquake measuring 5.3 at the Richtor scale hit several parts of the upper country this evening.

The earthquake shocks were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Mardan and Swabi.

The epicenter of the earthquake was border area between Afghnistan and Tajikistan while its depth was one hundred and eighty seven kilometers.
