20 outlaws arrested: hashish and weapons recovered
Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Monday arrested 20 persons for their alleged involvement in gambling, theft, drug peddling, keeping illegal weapons and recovered stake money, nine mobile phones, three 30 bore pistols, one 222 bore gun and one kilogram hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following the directions of SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik, Islamabad Police was maintaining high vigilance in the city. During this high alert security, police nabbed a total of 20 outlaws from various areas. On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Mansha Hussain from Shalimar police station raided at gambling den at flat no.65, Pak Tower Studio and nabbed eleven gamblers.
Police recovered nine mobile phones and stake money from them who were identified as Muslim Khan, Adnan, Irfan, Fahad Khan, Sher Ali, Mehboob Shah, Farooq Nauman, Jehanzeb, Amrez Khan and Zain Ullah.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ajmal and ASI Abrar Hussain from Tarnol police nabbed Mulazim Hussain and Mumraiz for having looted items worth Rs. 26,000 and 30 bore pistol. Sub-Inspector Ameer Umar from Golra police apprehended an accused Ikhtiar Ali for having 1015 gram hashish while ASI Qasim Ali from Industrial area police arrested Sher Ahmed and Mudassar for having two 30 bore pistols and nine rounds.
A pickpocket Kamran was arrested for having Rs. 3500 by Industrial area police and Sub-Inspector Muneer Ahmed, ASI Arshad Mehmud from Sihala olice nabbed Nadden and Jan Wali in possession of 222 bore rifle and one 30 bore pistol.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance of police and directed for further maintaining high vigilance in the city.
